About
A little bit about my company here in beautiful Nuevo Vallarta. I come from a very long line of master craftsmen. Her ancestors from Scotland were registered as Builders on their immigration to Canada applications.
In the early 1920s my Great Grandfather, Alexander Gair, opened up a shop downtown Vancouver to build cabinetry and commercial refrigeration units.
That shop was later operated by his Sons, who had started in their youth, coming to work straight after school.
They were taught not only to do incredible work, but the importance of strong work ethics and customer satisfaction
About
As a child I would accompany my father and spent many days reviewing architectural plans with my Grandfather, running my hands over the upholstery leathers, the smell of wood chips are still fresh in my mind.
The “Shop” resided at 955 Hastings Street in Vancouver until a fire burnt it down a few years ago. On the site are now beautiful high end condos. My Grandfather would approve I’m sure.
Alex Gair and Sons left their mark of Craftsmanship on numerous British Columbia businesses. Including the gorgeous Empress Hotel in Victoria, Safeway stores, local favorites restaurants White Spot and many more.
